Health, Science Nonprofit Organizations Have Highest Salaries

Compensation for nonprofit CEOs increased across organizations of all sizes between 2007 and 2008 according to the GuideStar Nonprofit Compensation Report released by GuideStar USA. Youth development and faith-based or religious organizations reported the lowest overall salaries while health and science nonprofit organizations had the highest median compensation. Washington, D.C., once again, had the highest median salaries of the large metropolitan areas included in the study.
